With the goal of raising $1.2 billion over 5 years, The University of Rochester needed a website to present their bold vision to alumni and major donors. I was honored to help design what would be a historic campaign.
The challenge was to present this vision for the future of university and it’s brand. We chose a traditional color palette and typefaces mixed with more modern elements like surprising accent colors and chart graphics. The look we created for the site ended up being used by the University in other parts of the campaign including email and print materials.
Recognition and awards
The campaign website was recognized for excellence by several industry and media organizations.
- The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) awarded the Campaign with a Grand Gold Award for the overall advancement campaign package, of which this website was an integral part.
- The Rochester Business Journal in 2013 voted it best education website, as well as the Gold Award for best overall website.
- EduStyle.net, a respected industry website dedicated to design in higher education voted it as best advancement campaign website.
